2010 was a crazy ride for this Charleston home staging & training company.  We’ve been staging homes since 2006 and training new stagers since 2007, but this year was a year like no other.  There were highs and lows – there are those, of course every year.  This year was particularly roller coaster like, however….

For us, 2010 offered our best year in sales and overall business.

  • We staged more homes than ever before.
  • We expanded our inventory.
  • We expanded our staging team.
  • We expanded our support staff.
  • We expanded our training platform

I won’t necessarily get into specifics – our admin assistant hasn’t finished those just yet, but I thought I could throw out some generalizations….

  • Our sales were higher this year than any other year – reaching a little higher into the mid six figures
  • We maintained an average of over 30 vacant homes staged simultaneously
  • We topped out with over 55 vacant homes staged simultaenously
  • We added 2 new stagers to our team – increasing our team to 6 stagers

Additionally, as a Staging Training Company we had some milestones….

  • I rewrote our staging training program and relaunched it in July
  • Received numerous accolades from peers regarding the inclusion of a Kindle and Laptop as part of our standard 3 and 5 day courses
  • Added 9 of the industry’s best stagers as new instructors – expanding coast to coast across the US We wrote multiple continuing education classes for the RESA Pro designation
  • Team members created cutting edge courses like Michelle Molinari’s Curb Appeal with Confidence and Andrew Mayon’s Improve your Real Estate Photography courses.
  • Signed Matthew Finlason – celebrity personality who appeared on HGTV Shows “The Stagers” and “HGTV Showdown”
  • Helped create the first ever Advanced Staging & Marketing course, written and instructed exclusively for SAR by Matthew Finlason
